Tales from the Time Chair is a site dedicated to memories and events from the 1970s and 1980s. Its aim is to encourage readers to keep their imaginations active and their memories alive. How we perceive the world is influenced by the information available to us at any given moment, which includes the information retained in our memories. Past experiences are very important and powerful, especially those of our childhood, and they contribute greatly towards who we are as adults.

Is the blog simply about nostalgia? Partly, Yes, but not necessarily in the way you might be used to. Nostalgia is sometimes frowned upon because it can be easily dismissed as vacuous sentimentality, or as a longing for the return of lost youth and innocence. But if you look the word up in a dictionary, you’ll find that it has another definition, which is that of the condition of 'Homesickness.'
Where is your ‘true’ home? Is it amongst the concrete, glass and steel of the modern world, or between the physical walls of the house you grew up in? Is it on the Internet or behind your desk at work? Is it even in the physical world at all? For some of us, the answer is, No. Our true home is in another place which is not of this material realm, and the entrance to it is not made of stone, wood nor plastic. It is made, of Imagination.
